Kung Pao Chicken

The great thing about Asian recipes is that they are very tasty and healthy, but they also have a lot of Asian influences. Traditional foods include things like seafood or vegetables, etc. But some recipes include other types of foods as well.

Quick & easy kung pao chicken

A chicken recipe from the Middle East, for example, can be very similar to a Kung Pao recipe. Although it may not sound as nice, many of the ingredients are the same.

You can find the name “Kung Pao” on the package of the chicken itself. But you should note that this is only in Asian countries, so it is not available here in the United States.

A Kung Pao recipe in this country would look very different than a Middle Eastern version. For one thing, a chicken recipe in the United States would contain items such as chicken wings instead of legs.

Chicken 🐔 Kung Pao is a typical Sichuan Chinese cuisine. The name of this cuisine comes from the title of the official of the Qing Dynasty. Qing Baozhen Ding was the head of Shandong province and then governor of Sichuan province. And his title Gong Pao or palace guard is the name “Kung Pao” source Wikipedia.

Ingredients

  • 200 gr chicken breast, cut into squares.

  • 1 onion, cut into cubes.

  • 2 cloves of minced garlic.

  • 2 red chilies, cut into squares.

  • 1 scallion, cut 3cm.

  • 1 handful of fried cashews.

  • Chicken Marinated
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce.

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce.

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch.

  • mushroom broth and pepper.

Directions

  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Marinate the chicken with marinating seasonings.
  • Let stand in the refrigerator 30 minutes – 1 hour.
  • Prepare a skillet filled with oil, heat it. Then we fry the chicken that we have marinated until browned. Remove and drain.
  • Saute onion, garlic, and dried red chili with a little oil until fragrant.
  • Add the chicken that we fried and the sauce, and stir well.
